Soudal Quick-Step to switch bike supplier to Merida
Soudal Quick-Step and its women’s team, AG Insurance-Soudal, will end their long-standing partnership with Specialized to race on Merida bikes starting in 2027. This transition marks the conclusion of a relationship that began in 2007 and spanned nearly two decades, during which the team secured over 800 victories with the American manufacturer, including successes by Tom Boonen, Mark Cavendish, and Remco Evenepoel.
The men’s WorldTour squad will also undergo a rebranding, competing as Soudal-Safety Jogger from 2027. The new technical package will feature Merida Reacto and Time-Warp frames paired with Shimano Dura-Ace components, Continental tires, Prologo saddles, Sidi footwear, and Lazer helmets.
For Merida, the deal represents a return to the WorldTour after a one-year absence. Team management noted that the new equipment was selected following extensive evaluation, including wind-tunnel testing and real-world road conditions, to ensure optimal performance.
