Sound! Euphonium series announces final film and new official guidebook

The popular anime and novel series ‘Sound! Euphonium’ is reaching its conclusion with several major releases. Takarajimasha has announced the publication of the second official guidebook, ‘Sound! Euphonium: Kitauji High School Concert Band Diary 2’, scheduled for release on September 10, 2026. This fan book, the first in ten years, includes four new short stories set after the retirement of the third-year students, an interview with original author Ayano Takeda, and a manga adaptation of a popular short story.

Complementing the guidebook, the final film installment, ‘The Final Chapter: Sound! Euphonium Part 2’, is set for a nationwide theatrical release in Japan on September 11. To celebrate the film, special attendee gifts including gold-foiled graduation cards will be distributed during the first two weeks of screening. The film, produced by Kyoto Animation, serves as the culmination of an eleven-year story following the members of the Kitauji High School concert band.
