Soundarya Rajinikanth builds career as director and producer

Soundarya Rajinikanth, daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, has established a distinct career in the film industry as a graphic designer, producer, and director rather than pursuing acting.

She began her professional journey designing title sequences for her father's films. In 2010, she transitioned into film production with the movie ‘Goa’ and subsequently founded her own production company, Ocher Picture Productions.

As a director, she helmed ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, which was noted as India's first motion-capture 3D film starring Rajinikanth. She also directed the action-comedy drama ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ (VIP 2), featuring actors Dhanush and Kajol.
