Soundbar testing evaluates 224 models for audio quality and power consumption
A comprehensive test of soundbars and soundplates has been conducted, evaluating 224 different models. The testing includes various configurations, such as single-unit soundbars and systems featuring subwoofers and satellites.
Results indicate that higher price points do not always guarantee superior audio quality, as some expensive models showed weaknesses in handling or sound performance. While top-tier models can exceed 1,000 euros, effective options are available starting around 200 euros. The database includes major brands such as LG, Samsung, Sony, Bose, Marshall, Nubert, Teufel, and Yamaha, as well as the British provider Majority.
In addition to sound quality, the evaluation covers power consumption during operation and standby modes to help consumers manage electricity costs.
