Soundboks founders' story to be adapted into Danish film

A feature film titled ‘Lyden af succes’ (The Sound of Success) has begun filming, chronicling the origins of the Danish speaker company Soundboks. The story is inspired by three high school friends—Jesper Theil Thomsen, Hjalte Wieth, and Christoffer Nyvold—who brought a self-built speaker to the Roskilde Festival in 2015, sparking the company's creation.

The film features actors Milo Campanale, Osvald Sand Pallesen, and Ask Berntsen in the lead roles, supported by Christian Tafdrup and Iben Dorner. It is expected to premiere in cinemas in late summer 2027.

While the film focuses on the entrepreneurial journey, recent financial reports for Soundboks show the company has faced economic challenges. According to 2025 annual accounts, the company reported a turnover of 215 million DKK, a 17 percent decrease from the previous year, and a deficit of 19.8 million DKK. Despite these losses, the company has expressed high expectations for 2026, aiming for growth through new production and expansion into Germany.
