Soundcity OnTour crowns music winner at Ahmadu Bello University

The Soundcity OnTour, a nationwide music and talent discovery initiative, recently completed its 15th stop at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, Nigeria. Sponsored by BIGI and Fearless Energy Drink, the three-day event held from August 18 to 20 focused on identifying emerging student musical talent through the BIGI Music Competition.

Olaniyi Oluwakemi Abisola, known as Abisola, was crowned the winner of the competition at the ABU stop. The prize pool of ₦1 million was distributed among the top three performers: Abisola received ₦500,000, Moses Yakubu Ibrahim (Bhig Moe) took ₦350,000 as first runner-up, and Ibrahim Yakubu Binkalim (Ibrahim Binkaly) received ₦150,000 as second runner-up.

The tour, which runs from June to October across 20 Nigerian university campuses, serves as a platform for student artists to compete for national recognition. Winners from various campus stops advance to regional battles, with top national talents receiving studio production, A&R mentorship, and radio rotation.
