SoundCzech launches support programs for Czech musicians

SoundCzech has announced four new calls for support aimed at helping Czech musicians and professionals expand their presence in the European music market. The initiatives include OnRoad, which provides up to 40,000 CZK for travel and accommodation for international concerts; LinksOut, which supports attendance at the WOMEX conference in Las Palmas; LinksIn, designed to connect Czech festivals with international professionals; and ProVisit, which offers opportunities to explore the music scene in Leipzig.

In related musical developments, the girl group Vesna, known for their Eurovision performance, is continuing to evolve their sound by blending Slavic folklore with modern pop and electronic elements. Frontwoman Patricie Kaňok discussed the group's journey, including their recent collaboration with Ben Cristovao on the single ‘Já si tě brát nebudu’, which aims to subvert traditional gender roles found in folk songs.
