SoundEdit festival celebrates 18 years in Łódź

The 18th edition of the SoundEdit festival took place in Łódź, Poland, from October 23 to 25, featuring a diverse program of electronic, new wave, and punk rock music. Held primarily at Wytwórnia, the event brought together established international legends and emerging local talent.

Key performers included producer and DJ Howie B, Marc Almond of Soft Cell, Wolfgang Flür (formerly of Kraftwerk), and The Wolfgang Press. The festival also featured Kasia Lins performing interpretations of Grzegorz Ciechowskiego’s work, and a significant concert by Lech Janerka, noted as his final performance in Łódź. Other notable acts included Dezerter, celebrating 45 years, and Hugh Cornwell.

The festival concluded with the ‘Man with the Golden Ear’ awards gala. Recipients included Ziemowit Kosmowski for musical sensitivity and punk energy, and Bogdan Kondracki for excellence in music production. The late Robert Brylewski was also honored posthumously.
