West Ham United pursues record transfer and squad overhaul
West Ham United is engaged in significant transfer activity as the club prepares for its Championship campaign. The club is working to finalize a record £22 million deal for Belgian midfielder Arne Engels from Celtic, aiming to register him before the 12pm deadline for the upcoming match against Burnley.
In terms of departures, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reportedly agreed in principle to join Aston Villa, with negotiations regarding a final fee ongoing. Additionally, midfielder Soungoutou Magassa has drawn interest from Ligue 1 clubs Marseille and Lyon, with an exit expected before the window closes.
On the recruitment front, the club has also made a £3.4 million offer for Nigerian winger Daniel Job from Kongsvinger, though competition remains from clubs like Anderlecht. Other players under consideration or linked with moves include Troy Parrott, Edson Alvarez, and potential targets such as Axel Disasi.
