Sourav Joshi faces backlash over viral dare involving wife

YouTuber Sourav Joshi has faced online backlash following a video in which he dared his wife, Avantika Bhatt, to drink water from their pet dog Oreo’s bowl as part of a family game.

In the vlog, Bhatt initially showed reluctance but eventually took a sip after Joshi prompted her, noting that clean water had been poured into the bowl. The footage, which was shared on Reddit, has sparked a debate regarding the boundaries of social media entertainment and the ethics of creating content that some viewers perceive as disrespectful or humiliating.

Critics on social media platforms have questioned whether creators are compromising personal dignity and relationship respect for the sake of views. Some users described the act as “going low” for content, while others raised concerns about the normalization of such behavior in family-oriented vlogs.
