Sousel President meets new GNR Commander for Ponte de Sôr

Manuel Valério, the President of the Sousel Municipality, met with Captain Eduardo Magrinho, the new Commander of the Ponte de Sôr Territorial Detachment of the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR), on August 26, 2026.

The meeting included Sergeant Major Pedro Coimbra, Commander of the Sousel Territorial Post, and Ensign David Jardim. The gathering served as a formal introduction of the new commander and an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties between the Municipality of Sousel and the GNR. Valério emphasized the importance of the GNR in ensuring public safety and community policing, expressing the municipality's commitment to continued partnership for the well-being of the local population.
