SouSmile introduces AI-driven remote monitoring, boosting Brazil's digital dentistry
Brazil's dental sector is seeing rapid adoption of advanced digital technologies. OdontoCompany, the country's largest dental clinic network, has expanded its digital dentistry services in Lavras, offering a full range of treatments—including orthodontics, implants and aesthetic procedures—using high‑resolution intra‑oral scanners, 3‑D printing and guided surgery. Led by dentist and entrepreneur Dr. Marcela Borges, the clinic emphasizes a patient‑centred approach backed by modern equipment and a team of specialized professionals.
Separately, aligner maker SouSmile launched an AI‑powered remote monitoring system in partnership with Dental Monitoring. The platform lets patients scan their teeth at home with a smartphone‑connected device; artificial intelligence evaluates 60 clinical parameters and flags issues such as gingivitis or misalignment. Orthodontists review the data every two weeks, enabling preventive interventions and more efficient treatment adjustments. The service, now included in all SouSmile plans, aims to improve patient confidence, hygiene and overall outcomes in Brazil’s growing orthodontic market.
