South Africa announces 2026 National Arts and Culture Awards details
The South African Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) has announced the presenters and performers for the 2026 National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA). Pamela Mtanga and Vafa Naraghi will lead the ceremony, which is scheduled to take place at Sun City Resort on Friday, 21 August 2026.
The event aims to recognize excellence across the nation’s arts, culture, and heritage sectors. The announced musical performance lineup includes Zee Nxumalo, Holly Rey, Yanga Chief, Tu Nokwe, Brenden Praise, and Jimmy Nevis.
As part of a phased reveal, the DSAC has released the next wave of nominees covering Design and Performing Arts. Categories include Architecture/Interior Design, Fashion/Textile Design, Graphic & Multimedia Design, Theatre Acting, Comedy, Dance Production, Musician, Poet Performance, and Theatre Production. Winners in these categories will be announced during the ceremony.
