South Africa defeats Argentina 17-10 in rugby test match

South Africa's Springboks defeated Argentina's Los Pumas 17-10 in a test match held at the José Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aires. Despite playing with many substitutes, the Springboks secured their 12th consecutive Test victory, largely through second-half dominance and a decisive try by Cameron Hanekom following a strong scrum.

Argentina, coached by Felipe Contepomi, started the match strongly. Santiago Carreras opened the scoring with a penalty, and Benjamín Grondona scored a try to give the Pumas a 10-3 lead. However, South Africa leveled the score at 10-10 just before halftime with a try from Edwill van der Merwe. In the final moments of the game, Argentina had a chance to equalize, but Matías Moroni failed to control a decisive pass near the try line.

The match was marked by the premature departure of South African captain Siya Kolisi, who suffered a recurring hamstring injury in the 24th minute. Kolisi expressed his concern regarding the injury, stating, "I hurt my hamstring again unfortunately. It's tough but I can't be sad about it." The injury leaves his availability for the upcoming series against New Zealand uncertain.
