South Africa PowerBall jackpot reaches R67 million for 28 July draw

The South African PowerBall draw scheduled for 28 July 2026 offers a combined jackpot of R45 million for the main game and R22 million for PowerBall XTRA, totalling R67 million. This follows six consecutive rollovers for the main prize since the last R72 million win on 3 July 2026 and seven rollovers for the XTRA prize since a R132 million payout on 30 June 2026.

Tickets cost R10 for a standard PowerBall entry and an additional R5 for the optional PowerBall XTRA draw. Players must select five numbers from 1 to 50 and one PowerBall number from 1 to 16. Sales are made through authorised National Lottery retailers and participating banking apps such as FNB, Standard Bank, ABSA and Nedbank. The new operator, Sizekhaya, aims to limit jackpot rollovers to no more than eight games, roughly a month.

Statistical prediction services have released number combinations based on historic draw data, but the draws remain independent; every possible combination has an equal chance of winning.
