Lhuan-dre Pretorius sets T20I record in South Africa win

South Africa secured a place in the T20I Tri-Series final after an 11-run victory over Namibia in Windhoek. The match featured a record-breaking performance by Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who became the youngest player from an ICC Full Member nation to score a T20I century, reaching the milestone at 20 years and 161 days old. Pretorius scored 101 runs off 53 balls.

Pretorius and Connor Esterhuizen, who contributed 88 runs off 40 balls, shared a massive 156-run opening partnership, helping South Africa reach a total of 228/4. Namibia responded strongly with a 119-run opening stand between Jan Frylinck and Louren Steenkamp, but despite Frylinck’s 72 runs, the hosts finished on 217/3, falling just short of the target.

With this win, South Africa tops the group and will face Zimbabwe in the final scheduled for Sunday at the Namibia Cricket Ground.
