Australia's Scott Boland dominates as rain disrupts second Test in South Africa

The second Test match between South Africa and Australia at St George's Park in Gqeberha has been heavily impacted by persistent rain and wet outfield conditions. Australia won the toss and elected to field, making a tactical change by replacing Nathan Lyon with fast bowler Scott Boland.

Boland has been the standout performer, taking four wickets for 31 runs across the first two days. He dismissed Aiden Markram and David Bedingham with consecutive deliveries on the rain-shortened opening day, and later removed debutant Marques Ackerman and Ryan Rickelton on the second day.

South Africa struggled early, falling to 20 for two on Sunday and 40 for four on Monday. However, captain Temba Bavuma anchored the innings with an unbeaten 41, forming a 52-run partnership with Ryan Rickelton before the latter was dismissed. South Africa ended the second day at 97 for five.

South Africa has made several lineup changes, including the return of Kagiso Rabada from a hamstring injury. Australia is currently leading the three-match series 1-0 following a victory in Durban.
