South Africa Springboks name 26-man squad for Argentina Test
South Africa’s national rugby union side, the Springboks, announced a 26‑man squad for a one‑off Test against Argentina in Buenos Aires on 8 August. Head coach Rassie Erasmus selected a mix of returning players and those with lighter recent workloads, including fly‑half Sacha Feinberg‑Mngomezulu, captain Siya Kolisi, lock Lood de Jager, lock Eben Etzebeth and scrum‑half Morne van den Berg, all back from injury.
The squad also features several other backs and forwards, with a possible match‑day 23 that could see veterans Handre Pollard, Cobus Reinach and Thomas du Toit omitted. Erasmus said the Argentine side will provide a “massive challenge” and the test serves as a warm‑up before the Springboks’ four‑Test series against New Zealand later in August.
