South Africa targets international investment via energy and trade forums

South Africa is actively engaging in international forums to attract investment for its energy and industrial sectors. The African Energy Week (AEW) 2026 is scheduled to take place in Cape Town from October 12–16. The event aims to connect government leaders, CEOs, and investors to facilitate deal-making in oil, gas, power, and infrastructure.

Separately, South Africa’s Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau is attending the AIM Congress in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Minister Tau is utilizing the platform to position the country as a competitive investment destination, highlighting South Africa’s sophisticated financial sectors, natural resources, and strategic role as a gateway to the African continent.
