South African defender Gift Links signs new deal with Danish club AGF through 2031

South African right‑back Gift Links has extended his contract with Danish Superliga side AGF until 2031. The 27‑year‑old, who joined the Aarhus club in 2019, has made 211 appearances and scored 19 goals, playing a key role in AGF’s championship‑winning 2022‑23 season.

AGF football director Carsten V. Jensen praised Links for embodying the club’s DNA, highlighting both his on‑field performances and his character. The extension is presented as part of AGF’s strategy to retain top‑level players while continuing to develop talent through its academy. The club opened the new season with a 1‑1 draw against Brøndby and is competing in Champions League qualification matches.
