South African Music Awards: HLE and Kabza De Small lead winners

The 32nd South African Music Awards (SAMA32), held at Sun City, saw HLE and Kabza De Small emerge as the top winners, each securing three awards. HLE won Best Contemporary Faith Music Album, SAMPRA Album of the Year, and Lesedi FM Female Artist of the Year. Kabza De Small earned Best Amapiano Album, Best Collaboration, and Remix of the Year.

Nasty C won the Best Hip Hop Album award for his independent project, ‘Free’, released via his own Tall Racks Records. The win has sparked debate within the industry; rapper Rouge questioned the decision to present the Best Hip Hop Album category during the Industry Night on Friday rather than at the main ceremony on Saturday.

Other notable winners included Tyla, who received the International Achievement Award, and Oskido, who was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
