Formula race returns to Avellaneda as motor events spark across South America

The Autódromo Municipal de Avellaneda in Argentina reopened its track for an official Formula competition on June 27‑28, offering free entry and new safety measures such as repaved sections, reinforced guardrails and mosquito‑proofed barriers.

In Santa Fe province, the Rally de Automóviles Antiguos was rescheduled for June 28, travelling through four towns of the Las Colonias department to showcase restored classic cars in a cultural‑tourist itinerary.

Uruguay’s Department of Salto will host the "Rally Gobierno de Salto" from June 26‑28, the fourth round of the national rally championship, featuring stages in Minervine, Bisio and the Parque del Lago.

Ecuador’s Cuenca will stage the FIM Latin America Minicross Cup on June 26‑28, bringing young riders from six countries—Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Costa Rica—to compete in 50 cc, 65 cc and 85 cc categories.

Chile’s Viajeros MC motorcycle club announced plans to celebrate its 15‑year anniversary with an international gathering of riders later in November, while a Magallanes delegation of riders will compete in the 2026 "Desafío del Desierto" rally in Copiapó, marking a record‑size entry of over 200 competitors.
