South American Games 2026 preparations advance in Argentina
Preparations for the XIII South American Games, to be held in Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela, Argentina, are advancing. The South American Torch has arrived in Rosario from Bolivia and will travel through all 19 departments of the Santa Fe province to promote the event, which is scheduled to begin on September 12, 2026.
The games are expected to host over 4,000 athletes representing 15 countries across 43 sports and 60 disciplines.
National delegations are beginning to finalize their rosters. Argentina has confirmed a 30-member team for cycling and BMX Racing, including 15 men and 11 women for cycling. Meanwhile, the Chilean national delegation is set to include 36 athletes, comprising 14 women and 22 men, with five representatives from Club Manquehue already qualified for track and field events.
