South American Games 2026 to be held in Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela

The XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026 are set to take place from September 12 to 26, hosted across the cities of Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela. The multi-sport event will feature 43 different sports and 60 disciplines, bringing together more than 4,000 athletes from 15 countries.

The Argentine delegation is making history with its largest-ever presence at the competition, consisting of 658 athletes. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at the Monumento Nacional a la Bandera in Rosario. To accommodate the event, local authorities have announced public transport diversions and increased service frequencies in Rosario.

In preparation for the arrival of international delegations, the South American Sports Village in the La Esmeralda II neighborhood of Santa Fe has been officially inaugurated. This complex includes 346 housing units designed to accommodate 1,380 athletes. Additionally, the provincial government has launched a culinary initiative called 'South American Menus' to promote local gastronomy during the games.
