Brazil agribusiness hits record R$ 85.4 billion in July exports
Brazilian agribusiness achieved a record monthly export value of R$ 85.4 billion in July, representing a 5.4% increase in dollar terms compared to July 2025. This performance was primarily driven by the soybean complex, which generated approximately R$ 37.3 billion in revenue, a 22.4% year-over-year increase.
The meat sector followed as the second-largest exporter, contributing R$ 15.2 billion in revenue, up 5.2%. While beef exports saw a volume decline of 16.83% in July—partly due to Chinese importers reaching 90% of their established quota—the sector benefited from firm international prices. Conversely, chicken meat exports showed strong momentum, with the first five business days of August recording a historical daily average of 30,000 tons in shipments.
Other notable sectors included forestry products, which grew 16.5%, while the sugar and alcohol complex and coffee exports experienced declines. In Mato Grosso do Sul, soybean exports rose 11.6% in volume, with increasing market diversification toward the Middle East and Asia to reduce reliance on China.
