South American Newcom Tournament begins in Uruguay

The South American Newcom Tournament for the mixed +50 category is taking place from Friday, May 23, to Sunday, May 25, in Paso de los Toros, Uruguay. The competition is being held at the local club's indoor gymnasium.

Nine teams from Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay are participating. Argentina is represented by four teams selected by the Argentine Volleyball Federation based on national rankings: Club Atlético 9 de Julio (known as 'Los Kosiukos'), CEF N° 28 from Posadas, the Delfines from Capilla del Señor, and C.A. Nazarenos from Puerto Rico.

Uruguayan participants include the host team from Paso de los Toros and three Montevideo-based teams: Iguanas, Elite, and Entreverado. Representing Paraguay is a team from Encarnación.
