South American tennis players reach career-high ATP rankings
Several South American tennis players have achieved career-high ATP rankings following recent tournament performances.
Chilean player Matías Soto reached a new career high at world number 237. His ascent follows a quarterfinal appearance at the Tulln Challenger. Other Chilean players also saw movement in the rankings: Alejandro Tabilo remains the top national player at number 28, Cristian Garin rose to 133, and Tomás Barrios moved to 139. Conversely, Nicolás Jarry dropped to 857 due to injury.
Peruvian player Ignacio Buse reached a career-best ranking of world number 30. This milestone follows his victory at the ATP 250 tournament in Winston-Salem, where he defeated Arthur Fery in the final. Buse also became the youngest champion in the history of the Winston-Salem tournament.
