UAE continues medical support for Gaza via ‘Gallant Knight 3’ operation
The United Arab Emirates is maintaining its medical assistance to the Gaza Strip through the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ operation. The initiative focuses on supporting the healthcare sector by providing care to patients and the injured via hospitals, medical centers, and mobile clinics.
Key achievements of the operation include the treatment of over 54,000 patients at the Emirati field hospital in Rafah and more than 35,000 patients at the floating Emirati hospital in Al-Arish, Egypt. Additionally, approximately 3,000 patients have been evacuated to hospitals within the UAE for treatment.
Logistical support has involved the delivery of 1,903 tons of medicines and medical equipment in cooperation with the World Health Organization. The UAE has also established two medical centers in the northern and southern Gaza Strip, provided over 600,000 vaccine doses to combat polio, and deployed 27 equipped ambulances. Other initiatives include providing 10,000 medical glasses and manufacturing prosthetic limbs for amputees.
