South Asian Golf Association receives $150,000 donation

The South Asian Golf Association (SAGA) held its 22nd Open Annual Golf Outing at the Cobblestone Creek Country Club on September 19. The event focused on community impact, youth participation, and women’s golf.

A major highlight of the outing was a $150,000 contribution to the SAGA Foundation by Dr. Anil Joshi and Anju Joshi. The couple has supported the organization for over a decade, including funding the Anish Joshi Memorial Trophy and providing annual support for a college scholarship program that has benefited approximately two dozen students.

The donation is intended to help SAGA expand its charitable mission. Additionally, supporter Rajiv Rudra has committed funding for a new junior girls’ golf incentive program starting in 2027, which will provide awards to eligible girls aged 18 and under for winning specific tournaments and championships.
