South Bohemia offers diverse family activities and summer programs

South Bohemia is offering various family-oriented activities and services as the summer holidays conclude and the new school year approaches. In Český Krumlov, Linecká Elementary School has introduced a summer school club to provide a more affordable alternative to traditional summer camps, seeing high demand that may lead to expanded dates next year.

A variety of regional events are scheduled through late August and early September. Notable programs include the Země živitelka exhibition in České Budějovice, a family festival in Malovice, and woodcarving symposia at the Hluboká nad Vltavou Zoo. Traditional celebrations such as the Bartolomějské posvícení in Milevsko, harvest festivals in Hoslovice, and medieval festivities in Zdíkov also offer cultural engagement for families.
