South Carolina collegiate golf teams secure notable results

In collegiate golf news, the University of South Carolina men's team earned co-champion honors at the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational. After trailing by 11 strokes following the opening round, the Gamecocks surged with a field-best 284 (-4) in the final round to tie with No. 1 Arkansas and No. 12 Illinois. Freshmen Tom De Herrypon and Tjelle Rieger contributed significantly, with De Herrypon recording a career-low 66 in the third round.

Separately, the University of South Carolina Beaufort men's golf team sits in second place after two rounds of the Parris Island Legends Collegiate. The Sand Sharks' Benxing Shi, Jake Heinrich, and Nikolai Holme are currently tied for fifth individually, each holding an even-par total of 144. Georgia Southwestern currently leads the team standings.
