South Carolina football coach addresses conspiracy theories after Tennessee upset

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer addressed long-standing conspiracy theories following the Gamecocks' upset victory over No. 11 Tennessee. The win was secured by a 48-yard field goal by Malik Orsan as time expired.

During a postgame press conference, Beamer dismissed theories suggesting that the 2022 matchup between the two teams was influenced by sign-stealing scandals involving Michigan and Connor Stalions. Beamer described the claims as ‘bullcrap’ and ‘ridiculous,’ stating that the theories are disrespectful to the players and coaches who performed on the field.
