South Carolina wins JT Poston Invitational men's golf tournament

South Carolina won the JT Poston Invitational at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club, overcoming a nine-shot deficit entering the final round with a team total of 821 (-31). Freshman Tjelle Rieger set a program record with a final-round 62 (-9), finishing solo second individually.

Other notable performances at the tournament included Gabriel Dulon Villoslada of UTRGV, who set a program record for the lowest 54-hole individual score of 202, leading his team to a sixth-place finish. Elon University finished seventh with a score of 836 (-16), led by Drew Yeagley, who tied for fourth individually at 10-under-par.

Jacksonville University placed 15th with a total of 10-over-par, while the tournament featured several other collegiate programs including NC State, Virginia Tech, and Southern Miss.
