South Dakota collegiate athletics announce 2026 schedules

South Dakota State University has announced its wrestling schedule for the 2026-27 season, marking the program's inaugural season in the Pac-12 Conference. The schedule includes a mix of open tournaments and dual competitions. The Jackrabbits will host the Buffalo Bulls on November 7 and the Warren Williamson Daktronics Invitational on November 8. Other notable events include the Tiger Style Invite in Missouri and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational in December.

In Pac-12 play, the team will travel to California to face Cal Poly and Cal State Bakersfield in late January. The season will conclude with the Pac-12 Championships in Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 4-5.

Separately, Black Hills State University has scheduled its 2026 football season opener against Sioux Falls for August 27. The game will be played at Bob Young Field in Sioux Falls as part of a home-and-home series. The Yellow Jackets aim to break an eight-game losing streak against the Cougars.
