South Dakota Investment Council Boosts Holding in HP Inc

The South Dakota Investment Council increased its position in HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ) by about 18.5% in the first quarter, buying 111,475 additional shares to bring its total to 715,294 shares. At the end of the reporting period the council owned roughly 0.08% of HP, valued at approximately $13.74 million.

The filing, submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, also noted that insiders sold shares, with David P. McQuarrie disposing of 10,524 shares for a total of $259,732. The council’s move joins a broader trend of institutional activity in HP, where hedge funds and other investors collectively own about 77.5% of the company’s outstanding stock.
