South Florida dining scene sees new openings and unconventional concepts

South Florida is seeing a variety of new developments in its dining scene, ranging from major chain expansions to unconventional dining concepts.

In Broward and Palm Beach counties, several new eateries are expected to open. CAVA, the Mediterranean fast-casual chain, is scheduled to open in Fort Lauderdale following recent expansions in Delray Beach and Miami. Additionally, Peppi’s Pizza, a brand that gained viral attention through Dave Portnoy’s “One Bite” series, is planning an opening in Fort Lauderdale’s Gateway Shopping District around late September or early October.

In Hollywood, C. L. A. S. S. Soirée Steakhouse has introduced a monthly nude dining experience. Owner Maurad Ali stated the monthly event is designed to help the restaurant stand out in a challenging business environment. The events are held once a month with windows blacked out to ensure privacy, and local officials have confirmed the practice is legal as long as the staff remains fully clothed.
