South International Series Festival begins in Cádiz

The fourth edition of the South International Series Festival has commenced in Cádiz, Spain. The event features over thirty titles and eighteen premieres, including the psychological thriller ‘American Hostage’ and the Movistar+ series ‘La más grande’.

Organizers canceled the scheduled opening gala and red carpet event at the Gran Teatro Falla as a sign of mourning following a severe railway accident in Toledo. Consequently, the planned international honor for screenwriter Ronan Bennett has been postponed to a later date.

Despite the modified opening, the festival continues through November 4. Notable award recipients for their professional careers include actors Álvaro Morte and Ana Duato, alongside Ronan Bennett. The program includes various industry encounters, special screenings, and professional activities.
