South Kalimantan opens Kalsel Expo 2026 to boost MSMEs

Governor Muhidin has officially opened the Kalsel Expo 2026 at the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office Complex. Held in conjunction with the 76th anniversary of South Kalimantan province, the event runs from August 12 to August 18, 2026.

The expo features 325 booths, including 100 dedicated to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The initiative aims to provide a strategic space for local businesses to connect with investors, expand market access, and improve product quality to compete on national and international levels. The event also seeks to foster international economic networks, noted by the presence of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Several mining companies are supporting the event through their MSME empowerment programs. PT Adaro Indonesia is showcasing 70 local products from areas surrounding its operations, while PT Arutmin Indonesia is participating with MSMEs from Tanah Laut, Tanah Bumbu, and Kotabaru. Representatives from these companies noted that such exhibitions help local businesses achieve independence and boost the regional economy.
