South Korea beats Czech Republic 2-1 in World Cup 2026 group match

South Korea defeated the Czech Republic 2‑1 in their Group A match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held at the Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Czechs took the lead early in the second half when Ladislav Krejci headed in the 59th minute. South Korea responded through former Olympiacos midfielder In‑beom Hwang, who scored in the 67th minute and later set up the winning goal for Hyeon‑goo Ock in the 80th minute.
