South Korea defeats Chinese Taipei in League of Legends Asian Games
In the League of Legends esports event at the Asian Games, South Korea secured its first group stage victory by defeating Chinese Taipei. The match was decided at the 15-minute mark when the player Zeus, playing Olaf, executed a flank that disrupted the Chinese Taipei team fight, creating a 4,000 gold lead.
Despite Chinese Taipei securing a third dragon, South Korea maintained control, eventually taking the Baron and winning the match in 26 minutes. South Korea's roster features prominent players including Zeus, Canyon, Faker, Zeka, Gumayusi, and Keria.
In the same group, Hong Kong faces a challenging schedule in what has been described as a ‘death group,’ competing against India, Chinese Taipei, and South Korea. Hong Kong must finish in the top two of the group to advance to the semifinals and secure a medal.
