South Korea expands educational and medical cooperation with Vietnam

South Korean institutions are expanding cooperation with Vietnamese partners through educational, economic, and medical initiatives.

Yeungnam University, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the Saemaul Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City. This agreement aims to strengthen the global Saemaul Undong network, promote sustainable development goals, and foster academic research and talent cultivation through the Park Chung Hee Saemaul Graduate School.

In the medical sector, Jeonbuk National University Hospital held an innovative medical technology exchange seminar at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. The seminar introduced advanced Korean medical devices, including the QPST 100 quantitative pain diagnostic device and the EYEJOA VR-based vision improvement system. Both institutions agreed to collaborate on joint research, clinical validation, and the commercialization of medical technologies to facilitate their entry into the Vietnamese market.
