South Korea expands youth employment training programs

The Ministry of Health and Welfare held a day‑long training at the Government Sejong Convention Center for more than 100 young staff from 24 nationwide Youth Social Service teams. The program focused on job‑search, entrepreneurship and AI‑driven market analysis to raise the quality of social‑service delivery across 12 provinces.

In Yangsan City, a second recruitment round opened for the Youth Solidarity‑Economy Work‑Experience Project. Unemployed residents aged 19‑39 can work up to five months in social‑economy firms from August, receiving a monthly pre‑tax wage of up to 2.34 million KRW and on‑the‑job mentoring. Both initiatives aim to strengthen youth job skills and improve labor‑market entry.
