South Korea faces 30°C heat with scattered showers on Saturday

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that on Saturday, the 13th, daytime temperatures will climb to around 30 °C nationwide, with maximums ranging from 26 °C to 32 °C. Major cities such as Seoul, Incheon, Gwangju, Daejeon, Jeonju and Busan are expected to see highs near 31‑32 °C.

Afternoon and evening showers are likely in the southern and inland regions, including Gwangju, Jeollanam‑do, Jeollabuk‑do and mountain areas of Gangwon. Rainfall amounts are projected at 5‑30 mm, while the UV index will be “very high” across most of the country and fine‑dust levels will remain moderate. Coastal wave heights are forecast at 0.5‑1.0 m. A meteorological official advised, “With the temperature shift and Saturday afternoon rain, be sure to carry an umbrella and take special care of health and traffic safety.”
