South Korea finalizes coaching staff for 2026 Asian Games baseball team

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and the Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) have finalized the coaching staff for the South Korean national baseball team ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Led by manager Ryu Ji-hyun, the staff includes senior coach Kang In-kwon, pitching coach Choi Won-ho, defense coach Lee Dong-wook, batting and QC coach Park Kyung-soo, strategy coach Choi Tae-won, and battery coach Choi Ki-moon.

The team is scheduled to convene on September 14 at a designated accommodation. Following official training and practice matches at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from September 15 to 17, the squad will depart for Nagoya, Japan, on September 18. After local adaptation training, the team will begin group stage matches on September 21 against Taiwan, followed by games against Hong Kong and Thailand. The tournament schedule concludes with potential super round matches and a medal 결정전 on September 27, with a planned return on September 28.
