South Korea partners ZEROBASEONE to promote K-Seafood globally

South Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has appointed the global K-pop group ZEROBASEONE as promotional models for ‘K-Seafood’ to target international markets. The ministry released a promotional video titled ‘Give it a Kick, Dive into K-Seafood,’ which has garnered approximately 700,000 views and 15,000 likes within five days of its release on official social media channels.

The campaign focuses on four major export items: oysters, flatfish, abalone, and seaweed (gim). Each product is paired with trendy Korean slang to maximize visual and linguistic impact: ‘Pom’ (style) for oysters, ‘Gak’ (angle/situation) for flatfish, ‘Tting’ (masterpiece) for abalone, and ‘Jjin’ (authentic) for seaweed. The promotional music, which blends K-pop melodies with traditional Korean instruments like the geomungo, is available on major global streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

Starting October 1, the ministry will expand the campaign's reach by broadcasting the videos at major transportation hubs such as Incheon International Airport and Seoul Station, as well as through various online and broadcast media across Asia and Europe.
