South Korea police arrest multiple suspects in weapon and trespassing incidents
South Korean police have arrested several individuals involved in violent incidents and weapon-related offenses. In Yongin, the Dongbu Police Station detained a man in his 50s for special intimidation after he entered a restaurant with a weapon and a hammer, threatening a female owner. The suspect, a repeat offender, reportedly stated he committed the crime because he had nowhere to go and wanted to return to prison.
In the same region, a man in his 30s was arrested for trespassing in a townhouse. He entered through an unlocked balcony and was caught after being spotted near the residence. Like the previous suspect, he had recently been released from prison and claimed he was looking for a place to rest because he had no home.
In Seoul, a man in his 40s was apprehended near Yanghwa Hangang Park for threatening pedestrians with a knife. Approximately 15 people fled into a nearby cafe to escape the suspect. The cafe owner prevented injuries by quickly locking the doors and windows as the man attempted to enter the establishment. Police are currently investigating the motive behind the attack and considering an arrest warrant.
