South Korea weather forecast predicts heavy rain and showers
South Korea is expected to experience widespread rain and showers, which may provide some relief from the ongoing heatwave. Forecasts indicate heavy rainfall of up to 80mm in the Yeongnam region, specifically in Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk.
Other regions, including Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Jeju, can expect between 10mm and 60mm of rain. The Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon inland regions are likely to see localized showers ranging from 5mm to 50mm.
While temperatures may drop slightly due to the rain, high humidity will persist, maintaining muggy conditions. Tropical nights, where minimum temperatures remain above 25 degrees Celsius, are expected in urban and coastal areas. Thunderstorms and sudden gusts may accompany the precipitation.
