South Korea weather: Rain in Seoul and large temperature swings

South Korea is expected to experience cloudy skies and significant temperature fluctuations on Sunday. Light raindrops are forecast for the Seoul metropolitan area, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and parts of Gangwon province during the early morning and morning hours. Additionally, Jeju Island's mountainous regions may see 5 to 10mm of rain from the afternoon through the night.

Temperatures will vary widely, with morning lows ranging between 12 and 21 degrees Celsius and daytime highs reaching between 23 and 31 degrees Celsius. Daegu is expected to be the warmest area with a high of 31 degrees Celsius. The Korea Meteorological Administration has warned of a large diurnal temperature range of up to 15 degrees Celsius, advising citizens to take precautions against colds.

Fog is expected in several inland areas, including southern Chungcheong, eastern Jeonbuk, inland Jeonnam, and parts of Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam, which may reduce visibility to less than 1km. Air quality regarding fine dust is expected to remain at 'good' or 'normal' levels nationwide.
