U-17 Women's Volleyball World Championship: Key Match Results
The FIVB U-17 Women's Volleyball World Championship continues with several key results from the group stages and placement rounds.
In the placement matches, Brazil defeated Chile 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 25-11, 25-12) to remain in contention for 17th place. Top scorers for Brazil included Victoria and Luiza, as well as Vic Martini and S. Arruda, who each contributed 15 points.
In Group D, South Korea secured their fourth victory of the tournament by defeating the Dominican Republic 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17). Son Seaoyon led South Korea with 23 points, while Ryni Mondesí scored 23 for the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic now holds a 1-3 record.
Italy also saw success in Pool D, rebounding from a loss against South Korea with a 3-0 sweep over Puerto Rico (25-18, 25-21, 25-15). The victory brings Italy to three wins in four matches.
