South Korean agencies analyze 410,000 youth complaints to improve policy

South Korean government agencies, including the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, held a policy exchange seminar to mark Youth Day.

The seminar focused on analyzing approximately 410,000 youth-related civil complaints submitted through the e-People portal over the past year. The analysis categorized grievances into five key areas: military service, employment, asset formation, housing, and childbirth/childcare.

Participants, including youth advisory groups and government officials, discussed ways to improve policies and foster inter-departmental cooperation to address the complex challenges faced by the younger generation. The agencies plan to review policy proposals generated during the session for potential implementation.
